Book Progress – Tree

So I posted this photo above a while back. It was my scribbled outline for a commission I was working on.

Progress pics were requested and here I am, ready to deliver!

 

 

 

I did a LOT of sketches of wolves. This was the model I finally settled on for one of them, you can see her center right below:

 

 

Bigger sketch! I think I sketched the entire commission two separate times in full color before moving on:

More sketching! For this, I used simple graphite pencil on canvas, and then watered down acrylic paint.

It helped me get a more solid “background” to paint on, and keep all my placements right!

I filled it in with actual colors and shading (sorta, I’m working on it) and voila!:

 

 

The finished product.  She loved it!

It was finally warm enough to bear being outside for more than 5 minutes.

So we went hiking and I took some pictures!

Just cameraphone pics, nothing fancy.

But here’s a pretty panorama nonetheless!

Spring is almost here!

So if you haven’t noticed, I’m obsessed with spring. I wish it looked like this already! This pic was taken last May ^_^

Just a sketch

Just a sketch I did a while back.

Things have been rough lately.

Funny, I could talk about it, seeing as I have this whole blog to myself.

But I did a lot of that last week, so for this week, I’ll just say that change is hard.

But it’s worth it <3
